Three years ago, Your Life Your Story published The Gift of Experience – The Truth Unwrapped, an anthology of poems written by care-experienced adults and caregivers aiming to amplify their collective voice and illuminate the shared journey of care. The visual artistry of Saira Jayne Jones and the late Yusuf Paul McCormack further elevates the anthology, with evocative illustrations that breathe life into the written word. 

"The Gift of Experience – The Truth Unwrapped" is more than a collection of poems; it is a testament to the power of storytelling, the strength of the human spirit, and the importance of empathy in our shared human experience. It serves as a poignant reminder that by embracing diverse voices and honouring the power of narrative, we can forge meaningful connections and build a more compassionate and inclusive society.

To build on this legacy, Your Life Your Story is currently working on the next anthology ‘Two Truths – An exploration of the Many Truths of Care’. This will include poems and artwork from YLYS events and pieces submitted in response to this call for contributions.
